Fit + Slim Plus UV Filters

Marumi’s Fit + Slim Plus filters are lightweight, non-obtrusive and easy to use and maintain. These entry-level filters feature a water-repellent coating on both sides of the glass, and a fingerprint-resistant UV coating that blocks more than 98.7% of UV light (400-700nm on average).

Utilising industry-leading Japanese optical technology, these filters feature eight layers of anti-reflective coating for an ultra-low average reflection rate of 0.4% (420-680nm). The strong yet slender aluminium frame means you won’t get any vignetting, even on a wide-angle lens.

Why use a UV filter?

Many photographers leave UV filters on their lenses semi-permanently. UV filters are long-pass filters that block and cut the UV wavelength range, only transmitting the visual spectrum of light that can be seen with the human eye. A UV filter reduces haze and glare, maintains image contrast and sharpness, and reduces the bluish colour cast, with the added benefit of protecting your camera lens from scratches, dust and damage.
